Nope, brand spanker. No use to me so I`ll just chuck it in the shed

I have an Elite & that the first time I've seen even a picture of one. Having said that, in 7+ yrs of ownership I've yet to have had need of one.

Im sure I saw one in the boot of my breaker, had no idea what it was. Its probably still in there somewhere. Might have a look tomorrow out of curiosity. :)
-
but have you ever used it? ::)
No need (no idea how to either ;D)
-
I got one with mine too. 8-)

It's obvious if you look under the seat. In the middle of the motor is a square hole that the square end of the crank fits. If the motor dies, the theory is that you can wind your seat forwards/backwards in an emergency. In practice you could have walked to where you're going by the time you've moved the seat with the handle. ;D ;D ;D
-
Sure my Elite has one.
I have had to use one before. Its tedious work.

Why do they get lost, do they not have a 'place' on a new car?

Proper Vauxhalls used to have a tool roll ........... the Omega didn't get one! ::) ::) ::) ::)

Oh yes they did (well, a pouch with 3 'compartments' sealed with velcro)
/Panto Off
-
I've got two of those but the home made one made from an old junior hacksaw is way better, you can fix it in a drill which moves the seat quite quickly ;)
-
Thinking about it, I have a set of screw driver bits with a range of square bits in it, wonder if one of those fits....
Must admit I wondered what on earth a square bit would be used for. ::)
-
handle has now been retrieved from the bin and put back in the boot ;D ;D

Symantecs ;)
It had a usable toolkit, with exception of wheel nut wrench which was the same as the Carlton one, and made of putty

....
. with exception of wheel nut wrench which was the same as the Carlton one, and made of putty
by which you mean that the Senator/Carlton wrench had a solid steel handle instead of the hollow sh1te thing in the boot of the Omega ;) ;)
Useable tool roll/kit :-? :-? :-? :-? Senator had a spark plug key (that would only fit the 12v ::)), 3 or 4 reasonable quality spanners, cheapo screw driver.
Omega got above wheel nut/bolt wrench, cheapo screwdriver and ............. that's it. :y

You forgot the valve cap tool and most importantly, for elites, the seat winding handle! ;D

Oh yes .... a winding handle. As above the picture is the first time I've ever seen one. ;) Valve tool. Did Omegas have one of them too? It's clipped to the back of the fuel filler cap of my Astra, never been used though ;D ;D
