Title: Wooden Steering Wheel?

Iv read on few vx forums that some omega elites came with half wooden steering wheel? would they be referring to the irmscher wooden wheel, or was there another, which wasnt irmscher and was half wooden that i never come across  :-? :-? :(

They are pretty expensive - but I love mine and managed to get the exact wood finish that is in the car so it matches perfectly.

I know a lad that's just spent £600 on one of these for his Smart Roadster.  :o

Frankly ,that's disgraceful as the "wood" is a rather poor vynl wrap heatshrunk over a hard plastic base.
The carbon and stainless effect versions also employ the same methods of manufacture .
The wheels themselves are no better or worse in construction than most OEM and aftermarket items which makes the exorbitant price all the more galling.

I'd think that they're made to not shatter into shards in the event of a crash.

I love them personally, better grip in hands position, like the shiny/leather sections contrast, and matches the interior trim.

Far better than stock IMO.
