how do l check my auto oil level ?

Engine running, car level, remove filler plug - it should be at the level of the filler plug.

And level plug is located drivers side of box, rear sump, 13 mill about 3/4 of the way up on the side.

And expect to take the flats of the hex when you try to release it. ::)

Yes they can be very tight. Get a hex socket if you can, as opposed to a multi point star. Or best you have. Not an adjustable obviously.  ;)
