Title: Omega door actuators
Post by: Nickbat on 26 May 2011, 09:26:17
Is it just me? The car's only done 36k and I've already replaced both front door actuators. Now the driver's side one is packing up on me again. Pain in the posterior to say the least. Not only time-consuming to fit, but the door card suffers a bit more every time it gets taken off/refitted.

Grr!  >:(

They do seem to be unreliable Nick. I know from the car Im breaking that I could have sold both front ones many times over. ;)

Bear in mind that they can easily be repaired in most cases. ;)

Granted, you still need to take the door card off.

Ime, if it's lazy lube the door lock ASAP. It's the extra resistance that burns the motor. Would lack of use be a factor?
