Who gave up a morning in his busy schedule to
help do the bushes on the front of the Elite.
I'm glad he was doing it, as when The Master struggles to get the wishbones off, you know mere mortals stand no chance ;D
Vertical bushes replaced with standard rubber ones, gay purple polybushes in the horizontals.
The journey home was far better than the journey there, except for the absolute torrential downpours, and a near miss (I hope) with our friends in blue. Car seems so much more responsive to steering wheel, but may have hightlighted a potential wheel balancing problem that was not noticible before at reasonably high speeds (though only a narrow band of speed).
Cheers MDTM, very, very much appreciated :y

And a 50 tonne press made light work of pressing the old bushes out :y

I wonder how many Omega's are out there with worn bushes (ie. Not MOT failure but enough to be altering the camber)?
Anyway, another job done on your 3rd favourite car ::) :y

Is TBE going to the Lakes? I might need to go for a spin and try out these polybushes ;)
I reckon they're on my "To Do" list ::)

No idea which car is going...
...but TBE still has those god awful Michelins on, and I reckon it needs the Elite suspension ripping off...

I can cope with the Elite suspension (I'm used to it ;)) but if those Michelins are still on it I'll pass ::)
Must admit, I'm tempted to change mine for something a little firmer but need to keep the S/L for towing so not sure how much benefit there'll be :-/ :-/

Wonder how many are also on original rear shocks at 154k ::)

Glad to have been of service although the ball joints were a tad tricky to split!

Yes, I'm sure when I last swapped the entire wishbones on the MV6 around 6 or 7 years ago, its wasn't anywhere near as bad as that, and when you rebushed the MV6 a couple of years back, they flew off easy.
This Elite looked a pig. I think you need to straighten your big pry bar now :-[
