Title: Fake wood anyone?
Post by: joshwyatt on 02 July 2011, 20:04:19
Have a look at this German Omega with fake wood, looks to be cherry wood or something similiar.
It's awful...I've never seen anything like it  ;D

Mmmm...?
I contacted the seller of these kits on E bay DE and he sent me over two samples mid & dark burr walnut ( or nut brown as they call it ) .

They actually were a reasonable copy of the real thing .
I'm afraid this one is awful though, looks like light mahogany & more akin to what you'd see on a window cill.

Christ that's rank! Ooh dear.

Still no solution to the face lift tactile finish coming off.  :'(

Although the aluminum version... No never mind.  ;D
