Hi all,
Trying to code a key for my mates astra g 2004,
my "My Naff Code Reader" has found and coded the brand new key from vx and the car starts fine,
problem is i can't get the central locking to work from the new key although it works with the original key no problems,
there are 4 keys coded to the car although he only has 2, the original is classed as key 3 and the new one is now key 4,
i'm guessing that erasing all keys and recoding so they become keys 1 and 2 won't cure the central locking issue on the new key.
so anyone who can shed some light on where i'm going wrong would be appreciated.
tried the new key in ignition on number 1 position and pressing or holding central lock buttons to no avail
also changed battery with original and original key works with new battery so not the battery.
any help please
thanks rob

Can you see the ecu detecting a key press of the new remote under live data?

Hi mate. not sure where to look for live data info. do you mean export data to file? not had this "My Naff Code Reader" long.
managed the transponder ok. not sure if i enter body/central locking then choose something in there?
not got an "My Naff Code Reader" manual.
any ideas appreciated.
