Would prefer black intrerior, needs vinyl roof, side panel trims come with the car but i'll have to fit, don't believe the mileage, that would be a miracle & it's not tax excempt but i've agreed a price with the seller....&

My first car, they were the days 8-)

I think Ford made some lovely looking cars, made some that went fast too. Not sure why everything went pear shaped. That Frog Eyed Granada thing they made was hideous.....
My Mum & Dad had the Vauxhall Viva on the old H plate which I still think is a lovely shaped car (thought about getting one). They had the newer shaped one after, OED 87M ( ;D how is it you can remember stuff like that) which were nowhere near as pretty in my opinion...

So did I - didn't like the Ford lump so fitted a 3.8S Jag engine and box. Kept snapping half shafts though - lotus ones cured this. Suspension & brakes were upgraded to suit!!

thats my fav shape cortina, love the early ones with cool dash, only had a 1.3 version that was pretty rotten and batterd tho lol, had a few mk5s tho, 1st car was a red 2.0GLS mk5. not the biggest ford fan but theres a few classics i like.

Sounds like a Sagaris which had the batty exhausts: http://www.seriouswheels.com/pics-2004/2004-TVR-Sagaris-R-Car-Show-1280x960.jpg
Wouldn't say no to a nice Cerbera or Griffith myself, since they have the right number of cylinders :D

you'll need to get a move on then while they're still vaguely affordable. I had a quick read of an article on Griffiths yesterday about what to look for etc when buying. The car they showed was a 500 and was for sale at £21 000 :o :o :o

I think they flashed it over in a sandstorm, a complete mess. Lots of bad welding over unprepared surfaces, headlights pointing all over the place & one indicator lens glued in as they had'nt fitted the wing properly. Overspray in the shuts & valences (over the tailpipe!) It would be ok for a few hundred quid as a full restoration but they've caused more work as you'd have to undo the mess they made just to get started.
I walked away cash on hip. Feeling sorry for whoever bids & wins it as they'll either be buying a money pit or they'll walk.....will we see it relisted due to a timewaster? Sellers can be timewasters too!
I'll bide my time & wait for a good'n. Meanwhile my lovely old Mk1 estate passed her MOT on thursday so will be attending the BIG BASH @ the Stockyard tomorrow. 8-)
