I dont know mates I would have liked to have that Navigation screen in there but we didn't get that option here... other then that the Oil PSI gauge and the Volt gauge do serve us some good, kinda keeps an eye on everything that is going on under the hood...

I do like the arrangements of the stereo and also the buttons on the side... mine was almost fully opted out but it didn't come with rear seat heaters and rear sun shade but to be honest I don't even see the need for those... I am the only passenger in that car so no one ever sits in the rear so no need for heat or sun shade.. LOL.. but I do like the color separation and the silverish/grey leather...

I am thinking about switching the headrests to black ones to match with the darker parts of the upper half of my interior... Also for some reason we only have 2 headrests in the rear and you guys have 3 over there...

Wish we had Oil and Amp gauge's.

It would also be nice to have a tube in the engine bay so your poor your auto oil down.

Looks nice actually. Is the oil pressure a real gauge or is it like the one on our MX-5 - goes to 3/4 deflection as soon as there's some oil pressure? I hope there's still a warning light, too!

"UNLEADED FUEL ONLY"  :o - can you still buy leaded fuel?

for a 3.0 V6 it's left me wondering why it only has speedo upto 140mph and not 160 :-/

Not to my knowledge. Would it be next to the headlamp switch, cos I think I have a blank panel there...?

we should probably start a tread with photos that compare the various models and then models overseas... that might come in usefull one day...

Also I have no idea why they lowered our speedometer to 140.. probably has something to do with the fact that the car is limited around 125 - 130mph... range so no need for extra 30 miles above that...

I will be looking into swapping one of the European clusters with the 160mph readout and the display..

is the 3.0 the only engine available on a catera?

i suppose in america it doesnt matter too much but i think here the speed limited to 125-130 would have seriously affected sales of the bigger engines

mine's a 2.0 auto and will pretty much top 125, albeit taking longer to get there, but even if i never went over 70 (motorway speed limit) it would still be nice to know i can hit 150 if i got the chance to run a 3.0 on a private road!

Yep the 3.0 is the only thing they came with.. and also the only option for the gearbox was the 4spd ATX... and all were equiped with leather interiors... some came with sun roofs, many didnt.. mine is one of the rare ones.. as I guess in 2001 only 1000units were imported and mine is one of 369 in Platinum Silver with the SPORT package...
Kinda rare ehh..  ::)  :P

 I don't THINK it's on there... and typically the one photo I have misses off the wiper stalk. I'll have a looksee tonight, and take a photo at some point over the weekend. for now, there's an interior pic inhere...
