I know this car quite well, belongs to my former boss. Somewhere in the region of seven and a half litres...

Cracking pics mate, shame I missed this one. I'll be at Shakespeare County later in the year...

 ;D

They certainly are fun. There were a couple of top fuel cars testing when I last went. Those things are out of this world. What blew me away was that one of them shut down after only a couple of seconds on the power (blower belt got shredded and went about 100 feet into the air!). It trundled along the 1/4 mile and still crosed the line at over a ton. :o

Aye, I've been a few times (luckily OH is a budding petrolhead so loves it too...) - it is essentially a field, a strip of tarmac, and a few sheds (one on stilts)... great place though. Last I was at was the Minis vs Beetles...

Not as fast as the slowest car there  ;D ;D

Have you noticed that nearly all the cars are "Yank Tanks"  ::) ::) I wonder why (no corners)  ;D ;D

i only took pics of the yanks but there were everything from bikes to fast and furious stuff,
most of the big yanks run about 14 seconds but highly tuned ones are around 11, some as quick as 7.
