Cheers guys for all advice

Nice. What size tyres are they?
-
bridgestone 235/40/19

bridgestone 235/40/19
I think, although I may be wrong, that those are too big a rolling radius for an Omega mate.
I thought that it should be 235x35x19 to keep all running correctly. You may need to be careful on your speed as I think that this may make you go faster than your speedo is indicating, but I'm not sure by how much.

It's recommended that you don't go +or- 2.5%, 235/40X19s are 2.6%, so over by 0.1% so should be fine

I just checked there and going by the fact that the standard tyre on an Elite is 235x45x17 then moving up to his size of 235x40x19 gives an increase of 4.35%.
I think that 1.85% over 2.5% maximum, which is 174% of the total tolerance, is a tad excessive. IMHO.
Is the startng point I am using of 23x45x17 incorrect? Is there another size which is the standard for Omegas that you are working from?
I'm asking out of genuine interest as I may need new tyres soon and if I can stretch to 235x40x19 I may do that too, but not by my current calculations.

Try this one for the difference in speed

I know should be 235/3519 but omega is more masive then vectra or astra thats why I put tyres with 40 profile and keep no more then 25mph round town, hope dont take any photo from speed camera?!

I actually think it looks better with the 40 profile than my rubber band 35's.
I may make the upgrade myself at some stage.
I'm not so sure about an Omega being much bigger than a modern day Vecra-C though. The more I see my car parked next to more modern cars the smaller it looks.

you can buy 245/35/19 looks same like 240/40/19 but is muth chipper half price then 40 profil, not many company make 19" with 40 profile
