Title: 2.5 TD Auto Flywheel/Torque Convertor Plate

Can anyone tell me if they have ever seen this (see pics), And if so what is / was the cause.

Don't forget the TC on the Diesel is only held to the flex plate by 3 bolts.

It may be possible that possibly something seized in this case, causing it to "rip" those holes in the plate.

What's the history?

not too sure James, Was told the Gearbox was making a "knocking noise"

yep seen it before it was caused by so called mechanic who put the tc bolts in finger tight got asked to look at another job then forgot to tighten them when he came back!!!

yup, definately loose t/c bolts have caused it, & no that hasnt happened to me,,,,yet ;)

  I'd say it was caused by someone welding a plate on it :D.
