What do you think of that?

very nice. Who made it for you, or where did you purchase it?

I'd get it laquered if I were you, or else the resin will dull very quickly.

Actually it was made by me. The first set(the one in the pictrues) is not perfect yet. As you noticed the central panel is not shining as it should. But I`m working on it.

I`m trying to find people who might be interested in buying kit like in the picture below:

They are thin-walled covers(0,5mm). You don`t need to dissamble anything to fix them. It takes 5min.

How much do you think it should cost? I mean I`ve got my price, but I`d like to know how much do people price it.

Thomas, nobody really makes these out of pre-preg, so it is a case of name your price.

Did you make moulds of the panels? if so, perhaps taking a heavy and polishing it up to use as a pattern will help the surface finish.

If i were you, i'd make another set, and chuck them on ebay.  Naturally, the fact that you are reskinning as opposed to replacing might be a bonus for some.

Thats what I would do.  Take the hit and start with a low start price, and then see firstly what response you get, and secondly how many bidders you get.  It'll tell you if it's worthwhile or not.

Maybe a picture of the reverse side of each item showing the fitting lugs/hugs etc may help people make thier mind up.  :y

Edit:-  Just re read your post and realised they were over mounts/push fit.

Would still appreciate seeing rear pics though.  :y

sev: yes, I did all the moulds. Firstly the idea was to make the moulds polished so that every part comming out of it would be finished. Unfortunatelly I couldn`t reach the satisfying effect. So I changed the strategy and now I demould them as unfinished and cover it with car laquier.
Thanks for your clues.

Skruntie: I`ll try to post pictures the reverse side of panels for you tommorow.  :)

Thomas, if the moulds are polyester, do yourself a favour :

take heavies out of them, guidecoat, and polish these so they are spot on, and then take epoxy moulds from the heavy patterns - alot of work, but the finish will be worth it. - especially if you're using a clave, as the polyester expands during the cure.

If you use car laquer, don't use the stuff in arsehole cans from motorfactors, get a proper bodyshop to make the can up, or better still, rub the parts for them, and give them some beer tabs to pass a couple of coats of laquer over them when they next do a job.

You see, gun laquer is thicker than aerosole, and settles nicer.  Your parts look like the pressure in the can or gun was too high, and that coupled with surface detail gives you that finish.

Are you autoclaving or just oven?  A good mould surface will eliminate a lot of any porosity that might occur, but it's not a bad idea to dive everything a rub back and resin wipe it, or paint some resin on and knock that back.

Anything else you need a hand with just ask.

The moulds are all epoxy. The set in the pictures was air gun painted by me but I`ve already found car bodyshop which will paint it professionally in a chamber for me.
Once again thanks for your help. I don`t think I`m gonna do anything with the moulds now. It took me too long to make theese. But I`ll use the clues you gave me making next moulds. I`m planning to manufacture Audi A4 Carbon interior as next.
Now I can`t afford experimenting, I have to start selling. I put a lot of money in the oryginal interior parts for moulds, materials for moulds and tests (vacuum stuff)
