Title: heres mine
Post by: chrisovkent on 21 September 2008, 14:29:48
well only just joined up so thought i had better post some pics up,i brought this friday evening, had a 300 mile round trip to collect it but well worth it as i got it for a bargain price, its  2000 V reg gls, got a few plans for it,some facelift elite alloys, clear side repeaters, irmy boot spoiler, and some very subtle splitters, also a new stereo as the cartridge wont eject from the cd player, anyway here it is before i gave it a thorough clean which i'm in the middle of doing today.

£600,10 months mot,3 1/2 months tax, full history and loads of paperwork and also has a mega expensive parrot bluetooth wired in as well,i was looking for one closer to home but for the same money i would've got an n reg with no tax an a bit tatty, there was hardly any for sale in this area so done a bit of travelling,i was already half way there on friday anyway with my mate collecting some ebay goodies.

Ah, but you chose to pay it - nobody had a gun to your head.
And in fairness, it is a very tidy example indeed especailly with those mint facelift alloys.

I don't think you were ripped off - just personal opinion...

2.0 wont have traction control so its possible the whole unit might have been replaced, which i wouldnt complain about, but it probably means you dont have heated seats either :D

i looked under the seats and theres wires going into the bases,i know the drivers seat is leccy but the pass one is'nt so i assume that they must be heated, mind you though i put em on for a min or 2 but could'nt feel my bum warming up,the switches light up though when turned on.

......and I would add to my earlier post that there is no wing "GLS" badge either, so maybe the car has been resprayed at some stage / for some reason or maybe it is ex-plod (CID car perhaps) ??? :-/

If latter it should have been well serviced :y.  What's the mileage? :-/
Title: Re: heres mine
Post by: chrisovkent on 21 September 2008, 22:58:12
its defo not been resprayed and the mileage is 158000 with history upto 134000,main dealer upto about 100000 then an independate garage.

Ok Chris; just one of those unusual exceptions to the rule; perhaps the first buyer specified "no badges" as was a fashion briefly in the 1980/90s. 8-) 8-)

Lovely car anyway, and will look out for it when on the roads of North Kent! :y :y

you can do a sort of hpi check of the history of the car by texting the reg to 83600
it checks history of the car checking past insurances and police checks it costs about £3 plus a standard text
