Complete with Tremec T56 'box, which lines up in the original hole, soon to have a big rootes blower wedged in the vee.

And also Opel made a V8 prototype (and apparantely 0-series), all front sheet metal is the same, brakes and transmission were the changes. You can check the specs from TIS. here is a link to a german omega -page:

Apparently the only reason that it never went ahead was due to opel not being able to guarantee the cooling efficiency for sustained full throttle runs (such as on Autobahns).  They were scared of warranty claims and repairs arising from engines overheating.
