Just come back from Australia, thought I would post a few Holden pics for you to compare the Commadore / Calais with the Omega:

With output power they kick out and alway a bend to get round you need them low!

Would be nice to have a car like that!!

Almost thought this was an Omega!

Spot the main difference........
-
longer, or shorter door. theres more metal between wheel and rear door either way.
-
It is interesting that Australia produced almost unchanged.
Great pics! :y
-
that last picture of the blue pickup is actually stunning, always loved how australia took practicality and made it always look pretty, well holden in particular
-
Commadore based more on the Senator, its wider than the Omega

Yep - I think it's the same shell that Adam used to create the still-born Omega V8, as that had alot more rear legroom.
Not sure, but is that front door a tad longer than "our" Omega?
-
doors all look the same from comparison, its the bit between rear door, and the rear wheel that is longer, stil, with ours being narrower, less filler and grinding when the inevitible rust sets in!!!
-
This shows what the eye may have missed in the spot the difference photo shown a couple threads above.

although now my modified version sits longer at its arse than the holden, might be camera trickery and poor angles, or,
the holden MIGHT be the same length, but MORE LEG ROOM than boot space?

Great Cars, hired a Clubsport when I was over in 2005 and went down the Great Ocean Road.....dreams are made of this!
