shes off at the welders until tuesday, then got to reprofile everything to make it ready for paint.
already done one full refurb and respray this weekend, need an 8th day in the week!
this pick up will owe about 300 hours labour minimum, wouldnt recomend a home project!

I've got plenty of time to do mine, but need to keep it running as my driveway is in use and only one car wide.
Should be somewhere like in the summer...............

just found a LS1 GM V8 engine, wondering how hard that would be to wire up!

Might be easier to start from scratch with a stand alone ECU like Megasquirt?
Or whack a big ol' Holley double pumper (OOH ERR!!!!) on the top...........
Get it slung in mate - you know you want to! :y
-
Fascinating project 8-) will look forward to seeing the finished article :y :y

budget is there for it, depends on sourcing engine, it has a 2.0 in it currently, so is perfectly usable, i think a month will see it ready. got to get seats, interior, sound system, paintwork, rewiring it all, etc.
plenty of hours left! meanwhile running my company so it only gets about 20 hours a week, the other cars take priority.
-
Can't wait to see it! :y

was in a newer post. anyhow, back seat project too busy with the business at the moment.
found the 2.0 gls subframe is wrong for the 3.0 have a a subframe now, so in the next few weeks will get engine in and running, and get welding complete.
bodyshop have done a good quote and will be doing a nice job on the car for mates rates.
one day it will roll off the finishing line and attend an oof meet without any announcement! (which year this decade is to be decided)
-
There's a truck just up the road from me that looks exactly like the picture of your UTE project Simon. Would that be a Holden, or has somebody else already completed an Omega conversion?
