http://www.fraudguides.com/auto_insurance_accident.asp

Watched a scary program about the rise of "staged accidents" yesterday, seems to be most prevalent in the Midlands and North (if you get my drift?).

Apparently it is so prevalent its costing you and I on average £40+ on our premiums !!

Oh yes....make sure you put a claim in mate.
They have fixed sums these days for each type of injury.
I think for whiplash it's £1500.

You have to go to hospital and get checked out first so your injury is on record before you put your claim in   8-) 8-)

No it was'nt an oap it was a midwife on her mobile phone and yes she has accepted liability,1st words out of her mouth were "sorry i was'nt paying attention" no s@#t woman i said. And yes i have been to the docs its all logged down and the claim has already begun,I'am hoping to get it back cause it does'nt need that much to repair it but i suppose thats down to the engineers report on the car,i've put a hell of alot of work into that Miggy and dont want it to go to waste..

Thats the one thing that I don't ever do when I'm driving, don't feel safe for a start, plus it's points on your licence if you get caught now, not just a fine like it used to be.

Hopefully you'll get your baby back mate...fingers crossed for you  ;)

god that really winds me up, that and people texting while driving. Some moron nearly hit my omega up the arse a few weeks ago cos he was texting/driving while using his mobile, i could see him minutes beforehand, all i heard was an almighty screech of tyres and he was at the side of me. I didnt half glare at him >:(

Press charges.   If you press charges against her for dangerous driving (which it was) then you have a far stronger case with your insurers to get a sensible amount of money for your car, not have to pay any excess, and generally stop them being the useless bunch of cretins that they usually are.

Plus it might get a clearly dangerous driver off the road and avoid her killing someone next time....

a midwife on her mobile phone

Quite ironic really that somebody who makes their living bringing people into the world is prepared to get behind the wheel and risk taking somebody out of it.

No phone call is that important. >:(

I don't think exaggerating injuries sustained, or inventing injuries to make a claim or increase the claim is a good idea. Surely this contradicts the criticism people make of car insurance premium loading to pay for other people's false claims. We all suffer because of this.

Sad news indeed Switch :( :( - but quite understandable as a lot of people seen to try and do everything else (whether intentional or not) but have full control of their vehicle when behind the wheel.

Wing
Headlamp
Headlamp Trim
Sill Cover
Front Wing Bump Strip
Alloy Wheel
Tyre
Arch Liner
Shocker
Wishbone
Track Rod
Full Geometry Setup

And thats just from looking at the pictures.

That wheel has been pushed a fair distance.  I'd suggest the sub-frame has been damaged as well.  How about the top strut mount?  Is that still in the right place?

As sad as it is, you'll be unlikely to ever get that car driving in a straight line again.  :'(

Who the bloody hell mentioned inventing injuries and making things up  :-? :-? :-?

He's had another car smash straight into the side of him so the odds are he has some form of whiplash.

I just said to make sure you get what your entitled to and commented on the fixed sum that people are given.

How you have read my post and come to the conclusion that I was encouraging somebody to invent an injury has baffled me...I told him to go to the hospital for christs sake, what is he going to do?...put on a performance and completly fool doctors and nurses who deal with this type of thing every day?.....jeeeez  ::) ::)

Awww that's annoying, very very annoying....

Suspect it'll be written off, but buy back the wreck perhaps, plenty of parts at the breakers, sub frame just bolts on I believe, suspension turret takes an awful lot of shock movement, doable IMO, without seeing it of course :-/

Last two people I encountered on the phone while driving, one had their phone removed and delivered to the local nick, the other, behind me in stationary traffic and just barely pulled up short of banging my irmscher, had the battery removed and flung into a nearby ditch. >:(
