Title: Went old school
Post by: SP_3.2 on 15 March 2011, 15:42:52
I,m not a big fan of the fake wood in my car and always liked the look of the pre facelift MV6 with the Carbon details. May not be to everyones liking but i like it and is much better to look at :y

Sorry dude...If opinions are sought, mine is that it looks tacky, ESPECIALLY on an Elite...either that or you need a better camera.

That said, I'm not driving her....personal choice I guess.

SP, if you still have lots of it left, may I suggest that it might look a bit more cohesive if you remove the several trim pieces you have adhered around the stereo and think about using a single piece, cut to shape?

Not my taste either - would have looked better if more care in fitting - looks "stuck on"

Sorry :-/

I'm pressuming you heated the material before applying ??

Best way to acheive a perfect fit is

1, remove the whole facia or whatever your sticking it too and cover it in one go and then cut out any parts not required

2, heating the carbon prior to fitting allows you to stretch it over curves and corners and gives a much better look
