Yeah!!!! Has a mean stance without going over the top. Dropping it on it's knees would spoil the effect completely so please don't. My MV6 has spaced wheels & very tasteful/subtle lowered irmscher red springs at the rear, this is for handling not show.
      Looking good!!! 8-)

Rear pics of the car will be up after the weekend. Yeah dont think I will drop it anymore. Might buckle the back arches on a bumpy road and break my sump again. worse thing about the Diesel is the sump.

Rim Diameter is 18". Tyre Width is 225 on front and 265 on back. And the car is kitted ont with PIRELLI p zero Tyres. :)

Eurostyle cars have deep dish rims and they are slammed.

looking good!As others have said , think it'll be better still once fogs are on and to lower it any more would be too OTT for my taste (not to mention a bit expensive on the sump department ;D). The spacers look good and the whole thing has that gruntier almost muscle -car look to me without being boyracerish or cartoonish. Nice job :y

What size tyres you running?

The offset on those rear wheels will be low, mine are ET13

Drop down to a 245 and you should have less rubbing

Post by: crossy on 18 February 2011, 09:51:04
rolling the arches would chip the paint on the arches.
Going down to 245 would help a bit but not enough because the whole rim is out further than the arch and not just the tire.

Thinking of putting in these?

I reckon it would help a hell of a lot, big difference between a 245 and a 265. Even if the wheel stuck out the stretch on the tyre would be enough for it to not catch the arches as much.

The offset on the AZEV's is gonna be low, like ET13 odd low. If you look under the centre caps you shold see it scratched into the metal.

The bodykit is a copy of the Steinmetz kit for the pre facelift model.
Steinmetz don't produce the kit anymore  :'( . But the copy can be found on eBay. And the quality is like the orginal.

Not quit sure about the grill (I have one just like it)

Ye I would have loved 19's but the dish on my wheels is too deep and the wheels are out a bit beyond the arches. 19's would rub too much

Anyone know what the wheels are worth??

Azev A's are quite valuable and sought after, I have a set on another car ,but your problem is the fitting of 5 x 110 pcd which will only fit GM and Saab and the enormous offset on the rears .
Are the two alloys you have buckled and cracked two of these.......
About the only car they'll fit without the problems you're having is an arched Lotus Carlton rep.

Crossy What was the Fit Like on the kit?

It was Fairly hard to fit. Not a great shape really. All i did to get it to fit perfect was parked the car in a small shed and tiger sealed the lips on. Then I clamped the lips onto the car by putting shafts from the wall of the shed onto the lips kit. I screwed the lips on also inside the wheel arches. The side skirts fit easy.  :)
Are you thinking of getting a kit?

You may have mentione but what suspension are you running? You say it is lowered but that looks quite std to me, even accounting for the optical illusion that is fitting larger / wider wheels.

No its actually standard. What i meant in the previous comments was the car is too low or soft as standard

This looks great, really like the spaced wheels on the back. I've got spacers to go on the back of mine when I get the time. Only 10mm, looking for slightly wider I think. Maybe 15 or 20mm. 10mm ones can go on the front.

I didnt put any spacers on the car. The wheels are just that wide. On the rears the tyre size I am running is 265/35/18 :)

very nice look keep at it dude, ive got a genuine steinmetz estate but a previous owner had raised it back up to standard hight and its missing the original exhuast,im in the process of doing springs and shocks fitted ebach to rear with bilstein shocks the new front shocks just turned up slightly stiffer than mv6 and a drop of 30 mm all round, ive got 17 inch mv6 alloys with 235/45/17 tyres,   was going to space the rears but may change or colour the rims ,forgot the lotus calton wheels look the dogs, still waiting to get paint sorted on corner of rear doors but very little to do,im waiting till shes all done till i put up new pictures.

These aren't actual LC wheels but Azev 'A' which were on an LC or a rep. Still as you say, they do look the dogs, which is good as I have a set of 17's waiting to be refurbished. Have heard they can be 'soft' though.

Didn't bobdent have a set on his estate????

They are very very soft wheels guys and break so easy but they are worth it. And If they are able for Irish roads then English roads shouldn't be a problem :-)
