Post by: venom on 09 May 2011, 19:26:47
Changed my header tank today so while the bonnet was up I gave her a bit of a clean

I couldn't leave the outside

The rear quarter was already damaged when I bought her, but she goes in on25th July for a full respray  :)

Can I ask what you used to black up under the bonnet?
Was is the back to black spray on stuff or did you use baby oil like a lot of oofer's recommend ?

Well as the Bucks meet is this weekend so thought I'd best get on & fix all the swirls inflicted by the so called hand car wash's they should just fill a bucket of water then fill half of it with grit, oh sorry they do that anyway  ;) & I hate using them but after my foot operation I couldn't wash the car the way I do, so the wife was taking the car to them  :(.
Tried half the bonnet just to see what work I'm in for  :y

Great looking car - and fantastic results  8-) - even before you'd taken the swirls out. Looks like I might have an assistant as well on Monday...
The next most important step now is to keep it looking like this when you wash it... :y
 ;)

I have absolutely no idea what you mean! ::) ;D

Seriously though, car doesn't look like it needs a respray at all - nice colour and great shine. :y
