Title: looking to sell my Mig, But whats it worth
Post by: Bacon Butty Man on 17 May 2009, 11:06:59
i am looking to buy a deisle mig for work commitments, something more oconomical, but will need to sell the cdx
any ideas on whats it worth,
its in good mechanical order, with the usual rust spots on the doors and wheel arches, its a 2.5 v6, just passed MOT a couple of months back, only needed a rear tyre. its got about 10 months tax left, all tyres are good, usual cdx refinements, interior is very good, clean. alos has the lip spoiler, stereo takes sim card for phone,  (i will be taking the sim to my new car) so am wondering what its worth if i was to list on feebay or place ad in the paper
oh the milage is 135.000 ish
thanx

You don't mention the mileage, but around £1,000 is the worth in todays financial climate ;) ;)

There's a 12 month MOT 6 month tax '98 R plated CDX for sale at a local dealers, very clean, all the toys, 125,000 miles and £550.

Best bet is to eBay it, start the bidding at the lowest amount you'd accept, and have no reserve or BIN. With some flattering pictures you may get it up to a grand. :)

To be honest I think you will be lucky if you get £700 in todays market. I will be selling my 2.5 estate soon and I'm not expecting that sort of money more like £500. Problem is now there are too many nice facelift models around for well under a grand.

Goodluck with sale though.

I paid £500 for my '99 Elite Estate, which is mint and doesn't have a spec of rust. Admittedly it needed a few little jobs - but I'm afraid it's unlikely to fetch a grand on here  :'(

As above, I paid £500 for our 2000 (V plate) 2.5 CDX Estate with long MOT and 2 months tax, and the body as well as the interior on that is immaculate.

Granted it had a few niggles (air-con regas, SAI pump, wishbones, and a cracked screen), but the first two cost me nothing to fix, a new screen is only £50, and the wishbones are coming in at £130 supplied & fitted.

The maximum book price on your particular car is £560 if it's a 98 S, and £595 if it's a 99 S.
