Title: On Pistonheads, LPG Omega
Post by: Squealey on 12 December 2009, 12:10:55
I have absolutley nothing to do with this car, just saw it on Pistonheads and thought it looked cheap, although maybe needing a bit of work.

Hmm my thoughts exactly.......maybe needing some work, doesn't mention MOT but then it's been stood a while. Not got a lot going for it either bog standard spec, LPG kit may be useful though for someone.

A heap of sh1te ,with or without LPG wont make a lot of money. That has nothing going for it at all apart from the LPG kitIts an Omega GLS (4 pot presumably?).A decent motor with LPG on will command a premium of several hundred quid over one that hasnt got it.
I know of a 1997 Bmw 728i LPG with 150000 miles on that the owner wont take less than £2400 for.Without the LPG I reckon its worth maybe £1700.
I have known quite a few examples similar to this in the last 3 months or so,as I have been looking quite seriously with the intention of buying. ;)

I must confess, I'll be looking for a slight "Premium" for mine if it goes up for sale in the New Year, although if it goes to an OOFer there'll still be a discount ;) ;)
