Title: Omega 2.6 MV6 '52' non runner
Post by: joshwyatt on 13 April 2010, 22:02:28
Some may know the vehicle.
It's 'KX52 HVY' which is a 2002 Vauxhall Omega 2.6 MV6 manual in star silver Z157.
It has covered 109,424 miles.
17'' Elite/MV6 late style wheels with good tread
CCR 2006
Boot spoiler, usual MV6 spec.
The engine has seized.
A short history of the vehicle, I sold the vehicle then the person who bought it told me the oil light had come on he continued to drive it iwth the oil light on, I didn't know what had happened until it was delivered back to me...so I gave him a refund and had to pay extra on top. James has looked at it, and he's 99.99% sure the engine has seized...but no holes in the block were noted. But a replacement engine would be required.

It is sold as non runner, please note this, it will require towing or removal by a beavertail or other such vehicle.

Photo's are in the advert for it as runner, it is complete...nothing has been removed...even has the towing eye cover for the MV6 bumper.

I invite offers via PM, or in this thread.

I know how much it is worth as a runner, it was advertised at £1995 and it sold, but will freely admit I don't know it's value as a non runner. I don't really want to break it, prefer to sell as a complete vehicle.

Just to echo Josh's comments... we can be sure exactly what has happened to the engine.

My observations were, a small amount of oil around the pressure sensor, but I do mean small.

Dipstick level was fine.

Crank will not turn whatsoever with a ratchet.

No evidence of con-rods flying through the block.

It's very tidy - interior is super with the carbon trim - alloys lovely...  nice car  :y

Off topic rant ... apologies ..

IDIOT .. has cost you money and ruined a nice car. He is VERY lucky you refunded the money as it is, essentially, his fault.

No apologies needed, any thoughts always welcomed  :y
I am rather annoyed, ultimately it should not have gone wrong. But when the car was still mine and he test drove he was speeding everywhere we went...so god knows how he drove it when it was his.
