Title: My Beloved
Post by: Techno on 17 April 2010, 18:47:10
A sad day :'(  I'm putting up for sale my beloved 98 pre face-lift 2.5 V6 CD (manual box) I've owned it for the last 8 years, I'm only the second owner the first being Vauxhall credit.  It's blue covered 105k had no expense spared on maintaining it, it's only covered about 6k in the last 5 years which is the main reason I'm selling it I just not using it.

It has tax till July 10 and MOT Jan 11 cam/Aux belts and tensioner's changed at 87k the cam cover gaskets at 90k all using genuine VX parts and all the following was done last year: -

1. Front wish bones. (one was Gen VX)
2. Front discs and pads (Gen VX)
3. Rear pads and pins (Gen VX)
4. 2 middle exhaust boxes
5. Rear exhaust box.
6. 1 rear coil spring.
7. Both front drop links.
8. 4 Conti premium contact 2 tyres
9. New GO sealed battery
10. Full service.

Everything works except the air con nothing serious there is a small leak in the condenser small enough to let the system work for about 5 months.  The engine is the very, very quite people often comment about how quite it's (it has been run on fully synthetic oil since 40k and has NEVER suffered blocked breathers they've been checked several times) and it's manual which is uncommon and allows for spirited diving.  It has the usual Omega rust on the bottom corner rear passenger door and a few spots along the top edge of the divers and FS passenger doors under the rubber trim and few spots on the rear aches.  The rear integral chrome trim has been distorted due to those nice people who cant park and just touch your car and bugger off!  It's NEVER missed a beat it's clean though out including the engine and bay no rips or tears to the interior I have both keys/fobs, oh and it's got a CAR400 cassette/radio not a CDR500 cd player something the previous owner wanted I was told!

You can buy it and drive it away and get a few years driving without hassle I'm sure pictures on request......oh the price £600 ono

I use cockpit spray, it had just been done when the pictures were taken, the shine dies back to leave the plastic/rubber looking as new. :y  :y
