Title: Breaking Manual 3.0 v6 Minifacelift Estate Z282
Post by: MutantCav on 05 June 2009, 08:47:37
In a week or so when the MOT expires on this I will be breaking it for parts...its in generally good condition and runs really well, good gear changes...only thing wrong with it is a broken windscreen and needing a replacement drop link...

It has facelift MV6 clear side repeaters and facelift rear lights and a 3.0 engine (123k on the clock but only 83k on the engine which had a new belt, oil cooler, water pump and all gaskets were done including exhaust manifold at same time by Markey Mark so you know its a good job :y)

Apart from that its a standard Tourer so has the tailgate spoiler and nice alloys (although may well be keeping the alloys) and its colour code Z282 Polar Sea Blue

If you want to be taken for a run to see how sound the engine is then thats no problem as long as you come over before MOT expires...think its the 13th

I'm only breaking it because its MOT is due and we need a 7 seater anyway so rather than spend the money were getting a Zafira...

If you need any parts then let me know...soon as car MOT expires parts will be available to remove/send out :y

Pics to follow :y

I'm still looking for the sunroof panel trim - it is black plastic, fastened to the glass panel by 3 or 4 screws and goes down the sides of the panel to hide the hinges.

You need to slide the roof back 6 inches, undo the screws and carefully wiggle the trim out - closing the roof a bit will help with the clearance

Had a look online and the MOT is in fact until 3rd July but this will be broken for parts soon as we have a replacement car which may well be as soon as the end of this week :y But if anyone wants the engine then it can be seen running and I can take you for a test spin in it (at the required legal maximum speeds of course  ::))

Cool, so how much for both wings and the bonnet, the gearbox and all the gubbins needed to convert an auto to manual ?

hi mate, if you brake the engine, i'm after a set of 3.0 cams ideally 4xG's.

I wont be breaking the engine but I may well have a set of 3.0 cams here anyway, but 2 a's 2 g's, not really a great deal of gain to be had from 4 g's anyway...

I'm after a tiny thing - a rear reflector (nearside) for a 2001 estate.  Don't know if its the same as the saloon.  If so - is it possible, and price?

Not the same as a saloon...I do have some estate reflectors, but I have a slight feeling the facelift ones might be different (as I only have pre facelift ones)...anyone know?
