Title: Swap the lot for a towbar
Post by: Selseybill on 03 November 2009, 10:50:29
I have a complete set of seats in light grey,5 headrests,4 door cards from a 98 CDX mini facelift saloon in very good condition.Upgrade or replacement ?
Plus a n/s projector headlight(hella). There is some light over spray on the lens but should clean off with T cut or thinners.
Swap the lot for a complete towbar to fit a 1998 mini face lift 2.0ltr saloon.
Would prefer a detachable ball type if possible.
Must collect as i have no way to transport the seats at the moment.

I don't need an other Omega as mine has over 10 months of taxi plate left.As yours is a R reg which is a year older than mine, this would take me over 12 year rule and i could not use it,even if was in showroom condition.
Just to get an other car though a new plate without anything needed doing to the car will cost over £600.To get a car though our plate test. The car must not have any rust, dents and the interior must be perfect and every switch, light, knob must work. The car wouldn't even pass with a standard Omega 15" spare wheel so i have a 17" spare to match the road wheels.Plus i would have to have The CCtv unit refitted.
The only reason i fitted leather is due to it being harder wearing with all the bums sitting on them and after having the old seats valeted twice it was easier to fit wipe clean seats.
For normal family use the old seats are perfect, these show no wear at all and just need a quick hoover when refitted.

Sounds good
Someone must want a free set of seats and a headlight in exchange for a used towbar

There is no warranty offered with the wife.Maintenance is the down to the new owner.FSH available As she is of French pedigree, she is small and firery,i put this down to dodgy wiring as with any French model  but fits nicely in any cupboard when not needed. The new owner must speak and understand French if not you will not know if she needs servicing or just moaning.Cooks English,French and Spanish types of food. Also comes with free gift THE MOTHERING LAW  .The choice is yours.

Ear defenders recommended.I went out with her old man this afternoon for a little drink, when we got back 3 hours later she was still having the same conversion with her mother.

After 25 years, you just start to get used to it or i must be going deaf.

Hello! I have a 1996 estate with ball type towbar and electrics, and I accidentaly spilt 2 litres of used oil on the back seats!

Do you still have the seats? Would the '96 estate towbar be any different?

Seats will not fit a estate nor will a estate towbar fit a saloon
