You'll have to be more specific, mate. Is it burning oil (blue smoke from exhaust), or physically leaking it? If it's the latter, which I suspect, you may well have goosed cam cover seals. Inspect the plug wells to see if they have oil in them.

Thanks for the quick response, it's only on start up in the morning i get the bule smoke from the exhaust for a bit then it's fine.

Hmm, not sure about that. One of the experts will be along shortly to offer advice. :y

valve stem oil seals are tired mate!!

how much oil is it loosing?
As for the blue smoke it could be oil leaking from the cam cover gaskets, onto the exhaust or cats.....
-
Thanks m8 :y the car has been looked after well since i got it regular oil changes and serviced by a Vx (good m8) mechanic who knows what he is doing, just don't want the big bills if its something major.

Sounds bad! Is this going to be costly to fix if it’s the stems that are on the way out, was thinking of getting a 3.0 lump put in or trading it in for a 3.2 veccy but still not sure if I like the shape of the C.
-
Blue smoke from exhaust on startup in the mornings will be knackered stem seals I'm afraid. Thats a head-off job to replace them.

Looks like i will be calling courtenay for a 3.0 or 3.2 soon then Cheers :'( :y

This would cause smoke from engine bay area, but not blue smoke from tailpipe.
For blue smoke to be puffing from the exhaust, oil is getting into the bore somehow - as said - the likely cause is stem seals. I would say, on a 2.6 litre, it's worth doing the job. I'd personally change all the valves too and get the new ones lapped in nicely.
Before doing any other work, compression test the engine..

As this is not Omega specific, I'm moving it to the 'General Chat' area.
