You're after a designer or a hosting package? To be honest web designers are easy to find, I know a few if you're interested, but as I said lots of people do them these days wouldn't think it would be a problem to fine a decent one. As for hosting it's the same really, if you are not selling on-line and done need SSL etc then almost all ISPs will have a basic hosting package for something around £50-£100 a year.

I don't really think it matters much...  as I said unless you have complicated requirements, almost any ISP will do and the prices are very reasonable. I recommend to my customers to simply get the basic hosting package from their ISP, it is simply easier to manage if you have one point of contact for the Internet access and the hosting. Others just go with the web designers and let them sort-out the hosting, so in many cases they don't even know where the site is actually hosted. If you are happy with BT's price then go with them... btw, problems with sites usually arise when the ISP hosting the domain name (which may or may not be the same ISP that is hosting the website) messes-up the A records in the DNS, which is a separate issue, but rarely with the actual web hosting itself.

Not sure what your plans are, but Zencart under Linux is a reasonable, flexible online shop. Lots of templates available for less than £100 to make it look good.  Finding a good host may be a challenge, hence why the main OOF is hosted here (other parts of OOF are professionally hosted)
