Title: Another Newbie joins today
Post by: Snoop on 21 January 2007, 20:30:19
Evening all.

Just bought a '98 2.5 V6 reflection 110,000 miles.  I was hoping some one could give me some idea of the spec list. I have had a look about on the web and haven't found anything definite.

Probs I have with it - Hand brake very loose, multi-information display dead (it has a non vauxhall radio) other than that it seems, hopefully, all good.

Any information on type, equipment and problems would be greatly recieved!

BTW Anybody want a mint 205 1.9 gti?

Welcome :)

Reflection is one of the lower spec'd car with sporty (apparently!) looks in true Vauxhall style.  Because it was special edition, I doubt you'll find too much info.  It is around GLS/CD spec, with a boot lip spoiler etc...

Welcome to the site :y, First thing to check is the cambelt and tensioners, they must be changed every 40,000 miles, very very important!!!!. Spec on a reflection is pretty basic, similar to the GLS

Cheers for the welcome. Got to say I got it cheaper than the 2.0 cavaliers I was looking at so I am not suprised about it being an "economy" model! I got it for motorway driving, so providing it keeps going for the next year/ 20,000 miles recon it will have been a good buy. It would be nice to get the infomation display working though!

Hello Snoop & welcome.  Reflection spec on a Megga is still better than driving a top of the range Fiesta  ;D

Welcome Snoop. :)

A mint 205 Gti eh?  NICE car!  8-)
Fabulous fun, and inmy opinion one of the best cars ever made!  :D
Should be no problem to sell, good ones are very collectable now.

Sorry I can't help with the garage, but we generally recommend having a go yourself. LOADS of support if you do. :)

Just as well I haven't sold the 205 yet! My omega is a lemon - I have been given a list of work it needs that is approaching the £1000 mark. Bu**er.

I don't have anywhere to do the work on it myself and work has been no help in terms of space at the weekends, so, if anybody wants an omega for spares or repair it is mot, taxed  and can drive away! If anybody is interestead I will post what needs doing.

Next question - Anybody want to sell their Omega to me? I am looking for a 2.5 V6 manual  :y
