Just been going through the server logs, in particular the error logs. It seems a couple of people are trying to find some software on one of our servers.
I obviously have the IP addresses, and have tied one of these to a user, but not managed (yet) to do for the other one.
Yes, some files exist hidden on our servers, but please do not attempt to download.

No. Its become common knowledge, as feared, some of the interesting files stored there for convenience (which is why we regularly change url to them).

if the ftp service is not used everyday may be will be good idea to stop the service..As far as I know ftp services are more easy to hack..

Good tip, always to disable unused services :y, but not practical in this case.

I wish i knew what you all are talking about sounds like russian to me :o :o
besides that whats wrong with those links been trying for the last 10 mins can`t get in :o :o :o :o :o ;D

2 people (well 3 if you include one of the admin team ;D) have been trying to access some files that I purposely moved (and I can work out who told them where these files were by the url tried ;)). These files are not for public viewing, hence hidden away from view ;)
