Title: Fresh Meat!!!
Post by: Danny on 17 February 2007, 12:54:49
A fresh forum member makes his appearance in Meega world! Hi people, I'm Danny, not been driving too long, after gettin bored of my 1.0 corsa (first car, a bit chavvy) i wanted somethin completely different and completely out of my character and looked at newer model omegas on trader last december! I was shocked at the prices... how could you get so much car for so little cash!!!

I got some insurance quotes and thought it be best to start off with a 2.0 entry level to start with and maybe after 18 months or so invest in a 2.2 or even 2.5!

Tryin to stay away from anythin bigger, 2.6 upwards cos i simply just dont need it to be that powerful! I picked up my 2001x with 76,000 miles for less than £2,000, and even managed to sell my corsa for more than that and it didnt even have any electric luxuries!! My omega's dark green with the cream interior, i figured the grey looked a bit cold! i think i did pretty well to get one for less than £2k with a fresh cambelt done!!

Anyway, if anyone wants to look at my post in the parts section and offer some suggestions, would be great!

Postman Dan

I hadnt even thought about it from that point of view but there's always something about "bog standard" that makes ya wanna upgrade! I edited a foto of my car just now, using a picture of some elite wheels i found online just to see if it makes much difference... and here's the result:

looks pretty good i reckon!, about 20 minutes ago i actually cleaned the car, so it aint that filthy now!

It'll get cleaned again properly next week, maybe tomorrow and it'll actually have it's new wheels on and not be an edited picture!
