:y Hi all, just got my first Omega 2.0GLS manual, in Star Silver with 17" MV6 wheels and low profile tyres, MV6 front bumper and slightly lowered suspension, the car was first registered in April 2000 (W Reg), and has done 84'000 miles. The engine has had most of its hoses and pipes changed recently and a cambelt change, the engine appears to be very clean and well cared for. The service history is pretty much complete with all MOT certificates present.
Have always wanted a "big" car and this is my first. It handles well and rides smooth. Have brought it to use daily, but also to have as an ongoing project, maybe more powerful engine and leather seats in the future, not to mention replacement of interior door/dash panels and new carpets. The Body is in pretty good nick with no visible rust and only a couple of small dints and scratches, would be looking to respray in a few years though.
I'm certainly no mechanic but am looking to maintain the car as best as i can, by doing basic maintenance myself. Oil/filter drain & change and coolant drain & change etc.
Will hopefully be on the forum often and learn as much as i can about my Omega and how to maintain/upgrade it, and any help from more experienced Omega owners, mechanics etc, would be greatly appreciated, cheers Marcus.
P.S. will be uploading my Omega pics to gallery ASAP, please take a look :y
