Omega 2.5 v6 (R)
From start up for about 2 minutes there is a high pitched noise. I understand it is the fan that re-circulates the exhaust gases to reduce emissions.
Please advise what is makng the noise and can it fixed in situ.
thanks

Hi SI and welcome to the forum. :y I think you'll find that the noise you're referring to is pretty common and is something to do with the injectors, but you'll get a better response if you post your question in the Help section. :)

Welcome :)
Sounds like your secondary air injection pump, and can be safely unplugged if its annoying you.

Your noise is almost definitely the secondary air injection pump.
You will get the noise on a start for anywhere between about 10 seconds and 2 minutes.
The pump is not important. The 2.6 V6 doesn't even have one. To stop the noise you can unplug the pump or remove the fuse. The pump is quite large (football size) and is near the front wheel on the passenger side, above the horns.
