Good morning all. I recently purchased my first Omega and came across this forum while Googling for spares and I'm delighted to have joined. The old girl needs a lot of attention (and my car's a bit of a banger too) so I'm gonna take advantage of all the help I can get. Actually she's a nice runner, 2000 2L GLS Auto with Irmscher kit. The interior shows the usual wear & tear, and some small nicks & chips to the paintwork both of which issues I intend to address over time.
Though I have no mechanical expertise or experience, first things first....an oil change and new timing belt, I reckon. I've looked at some of the posts on here and they are baffling in their terminology but I've sniped a cheap Haynes manual on eBay so I'll use that for reference.
It's great that there is a support network like this for beginners like me, I hope to participate fully in the future.
