Just thought i'd better say hallo.
I just love my Omega 2.2ltr estate 53 reg, think it must have been one of the last, bought it last year from a 'reputable' garage (proper service history an all) and has been brilliant up to now, apart from AC problem,
Have had vauxhalls all my life apart from 2.0ltr ford capri mk1 (1972) which was my most favourite car ever till i wrapped it around a wall !!
Mostly had cavaliers, after that for about 15 years (new one every year - company fleet car).
When i went self employed i needed the estate and its just great for all my tools etc.Ideally wanted the v6 but couldnt find a manual one so settled for the 2.2ltr straight 4 which i think is a great engine but a bit underpowered,
I think the Omega (apart from my capri) is the most comfortable car i have ever driven, its the only one thats been big enough for me( i am 6'4" and got very long legs).
AC aside (could be bad news Thursday) i love it but will definitely be looking for the v6 when i have to replace this one.

Welcome to the site :)
I do find them an incredibly comfy car to drive, and think nothing of driving from the midlands to the south of France in a day.

Hi and welcome to the forum

Thanks everyone for the 'welcomes' have been away for a week up the welsh mountains Snowdonia. The Omega is such a comfy car to drive but i do now realise having driven up those steep mountain roads that i shall be looking for the V6 3.0ltr next time !!
Also i am coming round to thinking that the quality/grade of petrol seems to vary a lot more than it used to ? certainly my car doesnt like the cheap stuff (cars just been serviced so all should be ok with that)
Dont know if anyone else is finding this ? will raise it as a general question elsewhere.
Thanks again for the warm welcome eddie
