Hi this is i hope my first of many posts. The Names Rob and i'm from the sunny Black Country. I found this forum as i'm looking for a litte info on the omega. (not tec) you see i've been offered a very nice 'r' reg omega thats 1 owner and only done 75,000 miles. it drives spot on (i've test drove it) and is a 1 owner car. Not to keen on the colour its a very light gold but you can't have everything. I want to use it as a support car for our nurburgring trips. its a 2.5 v6 and seams to have every thing i want. a bit of power and lots of boot space. Is there anything i should look out for on this model before buying. Thanks Rob.

Hi, welcome to the forum. :y

"Hello" and Welcome :)
There are several threads around in various parts of the forums that give loads of advice on buying a miggy, have a mooch around and I'm sure you'll find them.
My personal "best advice" is to read about the "paperclip" test in the maintenance guide, and to learn which dash lights should come on with the ignition on and then go out. It is not unknown for dishonest folks to remove the bulbs from some warning lights so you buy a car not knowing it has serious problems ... :(

Thanks for that. But i know the old fellow who as offered it to me and i've known the car realy from new as he brought it from new. it as a full vauxhall service history with the last service 3,000 miles ago. He is buying a new car this weekend and as offered me the car for what they offered him in part x against the new car. (£350) the car is in tip top condition i can't find a scratch dent or spot of rust anywhere. inside its like the day it left the showroom and as i've said only 75,000 miles. I realy can not remember it ever going into vauxhall apart from servicing.. anything that need doing it always went to Vauxhall he never messed himself. the car is still taxed and mot'ed (about 2 months on each) i think i would be silly not to buy it to be honest.
