Hello all,
Last week I bought a 2001 2.2 CD Saloon Omega and hopefully I didn't buy a lemon! It has only 46k miles on the clock, looks immaculate and I bought from a trust-worthy dealer. The down-side is that the cars got no service history and no warranty although it's MOT'd until next August.
What do you recommend I do to give me peace of mind the cars OK? I've been reading that the cambelt should be replaced but differing reports about the milage. Would you recommend a complete service? If so, what sort of price can I expect to pay?
To be honest, it wasn't on the radar when I first started looking but I'm impressed so far and want to look after the car.
thanks in advance!

Welcome to oof, as said you will get better replys in general help but while im here, change the belts and tensiones asap as the schedule is 40k or 4 years and the likelyhood of someone changing the belt then selling it soon after with no history are slim to a new set of valves if it goes wrong. Easy diy a good guide and dvd available on here. Hth

Agree 100% with above - Get the belt done before the belt does your engine! ;D
