Title: Hi Just got a 2.5 V6 CDX from Ebay for £150

Hi. Glad to have this car for such a bargin price. It needs a MOT but has the failer sheet and the work needed is easy ish brakes brake pipes and a bit of exhaust.  

However I would like to know if there are any problems with the V6 model. I had a V6 Vectra that had to go to the scrapyard. dont want this to go the same way.  

The Displays are all working and the rest of the electrics etc seem to work perfectly. including the rear blind electric.   The Noise of the EGR valve seems to be there the same as the Vectra V6 hopefully its easier to get to in this engine compartment.

I need to make this car as quiet as a mouse.  so I am hoping that I can do it.  

Any Hi from me, I am a trader BTW but have bought this car as a running car for me to keep my family safe and for towing and lux driving.

(egr valve is easy to get at.)

Thanks Hope its not too cold tommorow, I need to get under the bonnet and track the exhaust sounds and check all the cams etc. and service the thing. the previous owner only had it for about 4 weeks so I need to check everything.

I have 5 cars at the mo and need to sell some as i only have room for 3 LOL. never mind.

Hello Falcon -- at that price it's a bargain even if broken ( that is to say if you had to break it rather than it being bust  :-? ).

As for having 5 cars and room for three -- that's a recurring problem among oofers (ask Jue and SWMBOWA)  ::)

I think that car is possibly the omega which me and a mate was going to bid on (decided not to at the last min as we dont have anywhere to put it!) Is it maroon?

Well red, I am trying to contact the prvious owner as the listing he had where it sold for £155 stated the cam belt needed doing soon, however the service history says it was done about 30-40 k ago

and it needs a complete exhaust and brake overhaull. so time to get dirty,.

If it was done 30- 40 k ago it will need doing again now.

well there not too hard to do as the engine is layed out with the timming belt at the front.
