hi just joined, and just bought an omega cdx v6 but the cable leading to dipped zenon bulb has melted, it conects to a metal box, been advised here in spain, that i need to buy cable and box as whole unit, have tryed searching on internet, but dont know what this box is called, can anyone help?

welcome to oof mate ! its called a ballast box very expensive !!  :o

The wire is a High Voltage cable which feeds the xenon bulb fit a few 1000 volts! And therefore it cant 'really' be bodged back together. As others have said, you will need a new balast pack.
