Hi all. I had a senator few years ago and loved it. Now I got a chance to buy a 1999 2.0 ltr omega estate auto for a couple of hundred. The car done 88.000 m, full historie, got a year mot and looks very tidy and looked after. New exhaust and cat last summer. The bad point is the head gasket is gone. I can do this myself, just like to know if there is anything I should look out for? Engine hasn't been cooked just oil in water, still starts and runs fine.
Any advise would be perfect.
Thanks guys.

welcome to oof.
as for your question your best bet is to ask in the general help section and one of the fellas will answer shortly.
head gasket is a big ish job and for the no mechanically minded would be a challenge.
I personally wouldnt undertake such a job with out oon hand guidance. i have been an aircraft tech for 10yrs but am stil finding my feet with cars.
good luck :y
