Hi all, just registered, looks a well run forum, not got an Omega at the moment but hoping to find a tidy DTi somewhere.... current BMW 525TDS has done 165k miles and still going strong engine wise at least! From what I'v read the 2.2 DTi lasts well and should compare to my beemer on performance whilst being more economical too..
Had an Omega back in 2001, a 2ltr petrol, 2nd most comfortable car I ever owned... the most comfortable was my rusty old 2.6 Senator..... Beemer doesnt compare on comfort but does go round corners with a bit less body roll :D
Now heres a funny thing.... if I want to post a Wanted ad I have to send 50 hello messages first :-/ I may be sometime.......
Looking forward to being back in Omegaland
Chris.

You could always PM an Admin and ask them if they would allow your "wanted" ad .. it's been done before.. :)

Hi, welcome to the forum. :y

Hello and welcome :y --- pop a wanted up in the Test section and pm admin to see if they will move it for you. The post limit is really for bods just registering to sell a few bits and disappearing again ... unfortunately the wanteds get caught out too !

What a busy forum and pleasant people.... or is that just till I get to know you??? :D
Shall be making some time to do a bit of serious research on the boards today as just been speaking to an ex-vauxhall mechanic who doesnt rate the 2.2 DTi and says the best thing about Omegas is the BMW engine in the TD..... :-[ Lets hope hes wrong... Although the engine on my BMW 525TDS is fine at 165000 miles, its just the rest is falling apart around it!
