Hi Folks
Well I have just found a car which I think would be ideal for my tiling business. I have found a 2.0Ltr 16valve GLX on a V plate with 94.5K on the clock.
The body work looks almost perfect, the car is clean inside and around the engine bay. The seller wants about 1195 for it which seems to fit with the parkers guides etc. Reading through the site, I understand that I would probably have to get the cam belt, tensioner and pulley and also the water pump changed as a precaution.
One thing I did notice is the clock/radio led unit in the center consul sits above what appears to be another small led unit which doesn't seem to do anything... Should it? Sorry if these are silly questions but I don't want to splash out if their are potential problems. Is 94K considered high mileage for this type of car? Are their any other potential issues I should look out for? Any advice or comments would greratly be appreciated.
Regards
Rob

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure someone can help you with your issue :y :y

Hello Rob and a very warm welcome to you! :y
Although 94k mileage is not considered excessive at all for an Omega, the £1,195 being asked is. ;) ;)
Others may disagree, but £800 should be about right. ;) ;)

Hi price does seem high also the 2l engine is a bit underpwered for the size of the car. price wise comparison for you i bought the facelift 2.2 on a y plate for £800 which had only done 85000.

Many thanks for the quick replies. It is appreciated as I am fine when it comes to looking at bikes but cars are a bit hit and miss. All comments are greatly appreciated.

Welcome bud!
Yep, I totally agree - offer 800 quid cash!

Hi Rob and welcome to the forum :y
IMHO £1195 is way to much for a poverty spec 2.0.

Hey there Rob. Welcome along :y
That price is a tad high mate. Never give what they ask & walk away if they won't budge on price, there's plenty more to look at ;)

Welcome, as said buyer is asking to much money to be honest, same money you could have this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2000-VAUXHALL-OMEGA-CDX-V6-AUTO-SILVER-ESTATE-IN-VGC_W0QQitemZ260418014762QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item3ca21f8e2a&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A7%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50
Little higher mileage (nothing for a mig) but has nicer trim and is a later car :y
There is also an 02 CDX for 1250 on ebay although it has 146k on the clock.
