Title: basic question any owner will be able to help

hi everyone please dont think ive lost the plot ,but last year my dad fell in love my omy ,hes 84 and until now has been pretty on the ball so as it is more than likely going to be his last car i gave it to him ,and hes had alovely year taking his swedish girlfriend here there and everywhere,today for some strange reason hes forgotten how to open the petrol cap , i thought there was button down beside the drivers seat? not sure ,please help iam not sure what is going on so i will visit him 2morrw ,but would love to know as its driving me mad thankyou .jane

84/ Swedish girlfriend. Respect ;)

The flap is open (unlocked when the car's unlocked). Maybe he's tried to fill up with the car locked at the garage :-/

Hi Jane and welcome. :)

The petrol flap opens when you unlock the car and locks when you lock it, unless the petrol flap solenoid has packed up, if thats the case he will have to pull the flap down inside the bootjust behing the petrol flap and release it manually. By the way, does you dads swedish girlfriend have any mates ::)
