hi all i am new to this!bought a 2.5 diesel yesterday and was recommended to have the belt changed by a friend,is this right and is it easy/expensive??done 95000 miles belt seems to look new but not sure!thankyou for any help! ;D

Welcome to OOF :y
The 2.5TD uses a cam chain, not cam belt.
It has an aux belt to run waterpump, alternator, PAS etc, its a good idea to replace that every few years, but you can normally tell by looking at it when its getting old...
