Right, Hi there!
Newbie here from sunny Dorset.
I have had my R plate V6 Omega estate since May 2008. I will be the first to admit that, although I quite liked the look of these cars I bought it from ebay primarily because it was big and cheap. I paid the princely sum of £650 and I have used it as a hack for my business ever since, covering over 16,000 miles in this period.
I must admit that I love the old girl, finding her a brilliant drive. I was always a big BMW fan but I find it just as good behind the wheel.
It has been to the Le mans 24hr race twice, pulling a big trailer on both occasions and has often taken 5 big blokes on away trips to watch AFC Bournemouth.
Have just had to make the decision whether or not to put a new clutch in her which is a big expense. It really annoys me that a clutch which used to be a "disposable item" is so bl##dy expensive and caused this debate. However by purchasing the clutch at trade price and a friendly mechanic offering to do it cheap for cash, I have decided it is worthwhile. I was going to buy myself a newer model otherwise, definately a V6 and definately an estate.
So the old girl will be around a bit longer, it would have been so unfair to scrap her for the sake of a clutch.
Cheers for now,
Pierre
