Well, i'm not an Omega owner yet but will be buying a TD imminently as the Celica is killing me on fuel, isnt practical, isnt comfortable, long journies are a killer and has few toys...............the opposite of an Omega!
Always had a soft spot for them and the only Vauxhall I'd ever consider. RWD is a huge bonus too.
A recent move south and a long running sports injury to my right leg means the comfort of a far bigger car makes sense, and on a £ for £ basis I really cant think of better. I commute up the A1 to York from near Peterborough every weekend so a mile muncher with huge comfort and cruise-a-bility with economy where possible are the key needs.
I'd be interested in any TD sub £1k, estate/manual/auto....whatever, with a view to throw a few bob at it wherever i fancy! Chipping/remapping would be up there although am aware that Vauxhall stubbornly put their own auto box on the BMW engine and it wont take the extra grunt. Anyone with tuned TD's? Experience/thoughts/MPG figures all appreciated.
I look forward to buying and contributing as soon as I can.

Hi and welcom.
Only been here a few days and found moste/all info i needed for the worke caread out.
I take it that the celica was not the old supra celica with the strate 6 nor the gt4 as I loved bothe these modals and not seen much of the others.
As for the 2.5td it beets my 2l petrol 406 hands down and the mig`s 4 yers older.
