Hi All,
I've recently picked up this 2.5TD CD, seems to be a reasonably rare manual version.
I travelled from Leicester up to Newcastle on the train to pick it up, fortunately it drove perfectly all the way back. It appears to have been tinkered with, I don't think the spoiler or 17" TWS alloys were ever standard? It also has some chip installed near the MAF sensor. Brand new Pirelli P6000's all round and 11 months MOT. Not too bad for £650!
:y
Onto the bad parts, the parts I will be bugging forum members about! The central locking only works on the boot and one of the back doors. I took the door panel off the drivers side to find there is no motor in there at all! The handbrake is lousy and there is a hole in the drivers seat. Both front doors are missing the tie straps and both have been pulled through the metal, nothing left to put the reinforcing plates on. As you can see, I also need a front grill but I'm trying to hold out for a debadged or nice Irmscher one. Finally, the boot is very heavy but I don't know if this is because of weak struts or the spoiler!

As you can guess, I will be asking a few questions, I have some funny switches (3 front heated seats!) but I will put them in the relevant forum.
Are there any other OOFers around the Leicester/Midlands area?
Danny.

Ola! Welcome to the forum. Know Leicester well. Used to work many years ago in what is now a multi coloured building (hotel?) near the railway station.
Good luck with getting those problems sorted. The door straps might be a challenge!

Thanks all,
Ola! Welcome to the forum. Know Leicester well. Used to work many years ago in what is now a multi coloured building (hotel?) near the railway station.
That building is mostly empty, there were loads of flats being built in the city centre, most now being sold dirt cheap!
