Hi everyone,
Just yesterday I became an Omega man...... and I love it already.... been driving VW T25 campervans for 20 years
and decided to get comfortable, with toys and found my CDX.
Its 2001, 59000 miles, absa lootely immaculate, main dealer serviced right up to middle of last may.
The seller told me the battery had just started going flat overnight, and the main dealer blamed immobiliser etc etc and he was to keep and eye on it!! He was in his late 80's, had been charged hundreds and hundreds of pounds for stuff over the past ten years, most of which, everyone on here would not have bothered having done..... anyway to my point...
I found this forum last night and read the horror stories re alarm .... so I immediately prepared to take it out.... to discover that one plug had already been taken out of the flat horn, and the powersender was still connected....
Ive taken it out, just finished a little while ago, the battery has been on charge and i cant wait for tomorrow morning to
see if it starts.... heres hoping it solves the prob...
and all this is why Ive joined, and to say thanks for the power sender/battery fix and for all the fascinating reading I have started to enjoy already....
so Hello again and I am really pleased to be here....
all the best
Doogie ;)

"Hello" and Welcome :)
Glad to hear you have probably fixed one problem, but you might have a small additional one ... if the main alarm horn is disconnected, or the powers sounder - and sounds like both are now .. then your car is NOT "thatcham alarm fitted" as you've probably told your insurers by ticking the "factory fit" box on the application.
Technically speaking you have invalidated your insurance ... the question is .. would they ever know .. however just thought you should be aware ...... they'll do anything to wriggle out of a claim ... :(
