Title: Omega Estate on eBay...
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 02 September 2007, 07:55:58
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1998-VAUXHALL-OMEGA-MV6-WHITE_W0QQitemZ160152091392QQihZ006QQcategoryZ9858QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I just came across this Estate on eBay. It belongs to one of our members. (Sale is nothing to do with me).

Thought I would put a post up about the listing though - reason being, the guy is very genuine and mechanically it's not a bad car.

I KNOW it's good, because I personally did the following work for the guy selling it:

1) Timing belt and tensioners replaced, the valve timing on this car is spot on.
2) Aux belt and tensioner changed
3) Cam cover gaskets and O rings replaced with genuine GM ones
4) Full engine service, inc coolant flush and replace
5) Loads of other bits, such as sorting out multiram operation

Car itself shows some signs of being in plod battle, but if you're not worried about that, then this one has a darn good engine and running gear :)

WTF!?
"HAS THE LATER 3.0 ENGINE WITH THE EXTENDED PLENUMS (SEE PICTURES)"

I thought it was all MV6's that had this... elites had the shorter one, regardless of age.  :-/

What? Even the MV6's?
The reason it puzzles me is the last MV6 I had didnt have it (P-reg) and all I got was "Nah mate, it's an elite plenum on that".

Oh well, learn something new every day  :y .

MV6 was never made at P (unless x-plod)

1994 - 1998 = ALL 3.0 Engines had the short Plenum

1998 + =  ALL 3.0 Engines had the extended Plenum
